Legacy Founder and President Mr. J.E. Rash, Legacy staff member Mitra Nafissian-Rash and a delegation of educators and leaders in field of public health recently traveled to Egypt where they further explored the possibility of opening Public Health Centers of Excellence in Egypt and Morocco. Over the past two years, Legacy International has welcomed, trained and hosted public health professionals from Egypt and Morocco  through the North African Community Health Initiative (NACHI) and these delegates have launched effective public projects in their home towns and cities. NACHI Fellow Mohammed Arif’s simple hand washing campaign  has reduced the incidence  of childhood diarrhea in a rural village by more than 40 % in just a few weeks!!  You can read more about the other exciting  public health projects that have been launched.

Hear Mr. Rash’s reflections from the trip and by checking out Mr. Rash’s latest blog post on the subject.   A dynamic workshop on public health will be offered at Global Youth Village 2013!

“The Legacy we leave must be positive and better than that which came before. How can that be unless we build trust and understanding between people action and need, those who have the knowledge and the skill to effectuate change and those who are the recipients of that change?”  J.E. Rash
