Hello georgie
You grew up pretty! I met you in 1992 when you mother dropped brought you to GYV the first time. I am the very tall Nigerian girl from cabin Paz who gave you an umbrella! You used to have freckles.
Its wonderful you are into volunteer work and helping the needy. its part of what i do too as a field epidemiologist and reproductive health specialist. Difficult but rewarding work
its excellent you are working to strengthen inter-religious understanding. Unnecessary religiuos conflicts are a rising problem in my country too.

If i remember correctly i got a thank you letter from you in pencil after camp.

Great memories of the trip to the Middle East! We were cleaning up the beach in Egypt and we found a crab who had used a camera film canister for his shell. A sad example of the impact of pollution but mother nature’s brilliant example of reusing trash. Thanks for the opportunity GYV!

I was reading an old diary tonight and reconnected with the young me that had such profound experiences at Legacy. I learned SO MUCH there, and it was the first place I ever encountered where wanting to learn–about the world around me, about art, about the environment, or anything else–was not a liability and didn’t make me an outcast! I can’t thank Legacy enough for that.
