Global Youth Village Welcomes Teens From Nigeria!

The Global Youth Village has hosted hundreds of teenagers from around the globe since 1979.  We are now accepting applications from students of Nigerian background (living in Nigeria and abroad) – Ages 15-18.

A summer at Global Youth Village builds self-confidence, promotes flexibility, and leads to a well-rounded person.  The 16-day Global Youth Village and the five-day Washington, D.C. tour combines for an amazing educational experience.  Our staff members are highly trained and qualified to make the most of this pivotal time in a teen’s life.

 

Program Details

Your schedule will include:

• Arrival in Washington DC – meet and greet with Legacy staff

  • A 16-day immersion at Global Youth Village in foothills of Blue Ridge Mountains. Please review  website for details and videos.  Global Youth Village’s summer program

• Study tour of Washington DC visiting local historical sites and learning about US government and history.  

• Information for Parents

 

Dates and Costs

International applicants:

• July 5-25, 2020   $3750

Tuition includes 22 day program – lodging, meals, ground transportation in USA, entry fees, training, staff supervision, medical insurance. 

 

Applicants in USA who want just the Global Youth Village experience (no Washington DC):

 July 6-21  $1800

Tuition includes 16 day program – lodging, meals, ground transportation in USA, entry fees, training, staff supervision. 

Special assistance for Nigerian Youths coming from abroad:

Through the help of our Alumni Coordinator Stella Abuah, we provide services starting in Nigeria for an additional fee of $2860.  These include:

 An individual orientation and  interview with Stella Abuah.

 Smooth sailing for visa interview set-up and preparation.

 Helping to make sure that USA visa is obtained .

 Group orientation prior to travel – answering all your questions.

 Group chapter air travel at affordable prices, and

 Flight escorts when a group reaches eight (8) or more in size; unaccompanied minor travel escorts can also be obtained from airlines for those who wish that service for additional fee.

Students are allowed additional 1-2 weeks to visit their relatives in the US after completion of the GYV program upon the request of their parents only. All request must be submitted in writing by parents and approved by GYV before the purchase of air ticket.

 Please note that the recent news about immigration with regards to obtaining visas has not, in any form affected Legacy’s program.

 Be advised that we are currently working together with families with regards to the exchange rates, providing help to give the best rate to families who shows interest in attending Legacy’s program on an individual case basis only.
