Staff candidates must complete an application and submit two references. Before filling these forms out, please do the following:

  • Review the sections about who we are, the Global Youth Village program description, and the various posts under “employment”. Please especially make note of the Honor Code in the “Work Environment” section, to be sure you are willing to abide by it.
  • If you are new to the Global Youth Village, check your calendar to be sure you are available from June 15, 2012 through at least July 29, 2012.
  • Determine which position(s) you would like to apply for.

Applications are reviewed by a team. Only complete applications are considered. Telephone or in-person interviews will be arranged for select candidates. Once a complete application is received, the process can take between 3 – 8 weeks. Interviews begin in February. Most final hiring decisions are made in mid to late April or early May. There is no application deadline. As positions are filled, they will be noted as closed on our website.

International applicants please be sure to review the section describing Legacy’s International Exchange Program options.

Completed applications may be mailed, faxed or emailed.

Thanks for your question! They can be letters from the employer OR the form.

    Hello,

I am wondering if the references for applying have to be the provided reference form or can they be reference letters from employers? Thanks

thanks for your post Celia. For those under 21, the food service positions are open to you to apply. Although the major part of your job would entail preparing meals, there are opportunities for support staff to interact w/ the young people if desired. (This can be discussed in more detail during the interview.)

On rare occasion, we have hired a person who is under 21 for a program / counseling role if the person presents exceptional experience in the youth work arena, or significant residential camp staff experience (not just day camps).

Hi! I read through the descriptions of jobs available for the program, and I was wondering if any were available for students under 21.
    Thanks!

Got something to say?
